Mundoonen Gula (Koala) Monitoring

Passive acoustic monitoring was undertaken with the aim of assessing Gula (Koala) presence/absence in Mundoonen Nature Reserve, NSW. Audio was recorded from the 6th to the 20th of December, 2022, nightly from 30 mins before sunset to 30 mins after sunrise. Recorders were installed temporarily and have since been removed.

Monitoring was conducted as a collaborative project between:

• The Office of Nature Conservation of the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate, ACT Government
• National Parks and Wildlife Service of the Department of Planning and Environment, NSW Government
• Mates of Mundoonen of the Gunning District Landcare Group, NSW

Locations are obfuscated to protect the privacy of neighbouring properties.
