
Open grassy rise above Dismal Creek, dammed at this location. Dam becomes an intermittent wetland, with water birds and a pair of nesting swans. Permanent water available nearby: acacia, pauciflora, some gorse, lomandra.
Wider area is a cleared plain once used for sheep and crops. Forester kangaroo, deer and wallaby abundant.
